I always love spring when the babies are born but always feel great aprehension when it comes time to sell. I try and tell my buyers what the babies need and what things to look out for, when to call the vet. THe importance of immediately treating diarrhea and snotty noses. I do believe that charging a good price, not too high and not too low, helps weed out some of the buyers who wouldn't appreciate the goats like I think they should. But we all have sad stories that come back to us about our little sweeties. I always cringe when I get a phone call from someone who bought a baby until I hear them say, everythings ok, I was just wondering about.... Then I breathe a sigh of relief.
