You guys are great. I like what you said Sandy about being as excited as when you had kids. I feel the same. I remember with my last I was planning for a homebirth and had to gather a birthing kit. I'm doing the same thing with my goat. I was thinking of getting one of those baby moniters to put in her shed. The shed is not too far from the house. I can't be out there all through the night and I WANT TO KNOW! I'm determined not to miss this. When I was a kid I used to wait in the barn for when the piglets were born to put them in the little piglet shelter. You know it was just a board across one of the corners of the pig pen with a sliding door and a heat lamp, because the momma pig sometimes lays on her babies accidently. Anyway I have fond memories of picking up each little piggy as they were born and putting them under the heat lamp. I have to say new born piglets are pretty darn cute, but I bet new born goats are even cuter, from what I see from the pictures. I'll definately let you all know what, when, and how it all happens. I think I know how fathers feel waiting for the birth. Della
