Nice to know that how I do things is how your vet does things of course I do not do C-sections, and with luck will not be faced with one. My first try at this was helped by a cow vet she is one of the best in the area. I called her told her what was going on and ran to the barn, called her back, discussed it and so one until I had triplets. What a workout. Unfortunatly that was also the year we had Pasturella Pnumonia seems like we lost all of the kids but one that was sold before it hit. Eris is the reason I said if you can't do it or it is harder than it should be call a vet. Unfortunatly not all kids cooperate with what I said. 99.9% of the time it works. I have found that having small hands helps big time with the difficult births, afterall if there isn't enough room for the baby how can there be enough for the baby and large hands? In that reguard I am glad I am a little person, vertically challenged or whatever is the politically correct term for short people. One thing I forgot to mention is that anytime you have to go in and pull the doe should be put on antibiotics, if you have uterine boluses my cow vet also suggested "tossing a couple in" Of course that has to be done before the cervex closes. I keep my girls on the antibiotics for a week 10 days if it was really bad but most of the time a week is long enough.
