Lila, I know exactly what you mean, and that is a good comeback (smile). My son works with my husband's family who are cattle ranchers, and that is their business, so I guess I can understand the logic that way, but our goats are mainly brush control and pets. We always have people who want to buy them from us, because for some reason around here most people's goats are not tame, and they are in total amazement, when we can let them loose and they follow us around like dogs and we don't have to chase them around when giving them shots etc. Hello, just pay attention to them, and play with them..LOL.

3 of our goats belong to my son Todd..well 2-1/2, since our little one did not have a goat, Todd gave Jessie's baby to him,I do not think he would hesitate to sell one for the right price. Since our herd is still small, I get annoyed when my husband or son even think about selling, and I am picky who I sell to. When we sold Billy Bob, I wanted to know who the person was (happens to be a man my husband works with) and what they wanted them for. He is a 100% full blood boer. He wanted him for breeding, but we also sold him with the agreement that if he ever wants to sell him, we get first rights to him. And we get a kid!!
