Oh Mary I am so glad your little baby is ok!! We had a similar situation the other day ourselves. Mike was outside pulling apart and cleaning our grill so we can use it, and I was sitting on the patio and all of a sudden I heard a scream from one of our babies that I never heard before, then all the other goats were screaming like crazy and our LGD was barking like crazy. I jumped up and ran over to the fence, and from where I was standing it looked like the LGD had a hold of Eris's baby and was hurting him, I hurled over the fence, and that had to have been a funny site, ready to KILL that dog, and it turned out that he was trying to help him. One of my sons left a rolled up piece of wire fencing on the outside of our fence, and the little guy got his head tangled up in there but good. I got him out, and thank god he was fine..BUT THE SCREAMING THAT CAME OUT OF MY MOUTH was well lets just say I am surprised you didn't hear me clear across to NY!! I don't know how many times I told those boys to put that piece of fencing up, when they were cleaning up the yard, and no one ever did! Originally it was up against the outside of the goathouse and with all the wind and hard rain we had been having it must have blown up against the outside of our fence. It is in a corner, so you couldn't see it, and I just took for granted they listened to me and put it away!!
