I don't want to contradict anyone here. As Mary said, goat feeds differ from breeder to breeder.

If you are set on actually mixing your own feed, I would consider reading up as much as you can on the nutritional requirements of goats - there are some places to start in the GoatWorld Articles section or at http://www.goatworld.com/nutrition

One way I started out was by comparing a number of different feed tags from every commercial goat feed that I could find. But you have to keep in mind that based upon the purpose of the goat (i.e., dairy, meat, brush, show, packgoat, etc.), there are going to be differences in nutritional requirements and that of course is the tricky part.
