Interesting story

Midwest Buck Sale Kandy Treat

Hi Everyone....hope all of you are enjoying your summer. I've been crazy busy, so haven't had a chance to post, but have been sneaking in to peek at the messages. I met a "goat friend" in the tractor store the other day. She had an interesting event take place at her little farm. When her hubby mows the lawn, he lets her two pygmies out of their yard to wander. It's a regular event. Well this past week while he was mowing, the little wether came up to him while he was on the lawnmower, screaming for all he was worth. He stopped the lawn mower, to see just what the heck the matter could be. The little wether went running to their above-the-ground pool, and back to hubby. Back and forth....screaming. Hubby followed him over to the pool and there was the little doeling swimming in the pool for all she was worth. Seems she had somehow climbed up on the deck, and fallen in the pool. No telling how long she had been in there, but he hauled her out, and she was exhausted. I was fascinated with this story. Not only did I not know that a goat could swim, I also that it was amazing that the little wether knew enough to go for help. Goats......they never fail to amaze me. Thought you guys would be as fascinated as I was. Take care all.
~Mary
