Mary,
Euthanising a loved pet is a hard decision to make. In the end, quality of life is ALWAYS the deciding factor. I lost a 14 year member of our family last November, and it was tuff, but the right thing to do. You did the right thing too. Renee is happily playing on the Rainbow Bridge with no pain. She will be forever young, and the sweet dog you have always known. She is in good hands now. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. I know she will be missed.
