We have a doe, she is approx 2 yrs old, and I THINK..she is a cross between a newbian and a spanish..I have absolutly no idea. Anyway we thought for sure that she would have kidded this season with Jessie and Eris and she has not, she is definatly not pregnant. We THINK she has been bred, when Eris and Jessie was, my husband swore he saw ole Billy Jack putting the moves on her too.
She is kinda a strange bird..we had the does seperated from the bucks for a while, when Eris was about to kid. When we put her back in w/the bucks along w/our other 2 does, she was walking around trying to get all "sexy" with our two bucks. We have 2 more does, who are at a year old and hope will be bred by fall, I wonder if this one will at all. She is one of my sons goats, and he says if she does not breed this time, she is "outta here"..LOL..Although she is not one of my fav's (she does not have much of a personality, and like I said, she is sort of a strange bird) I hate to see her go too!
Has anyone ever came across a doe at 2 yrs that did not breed? Wonder what the problem is, or wonder if she has been bred, and just cannot get pregnant, what do you think?
