We are thinking about getting a guardian for our horse and goats since they will be together intermittenly and we have a coyote problem mostly in the winter. We have a lot of deer too(lyme disease is a big problem here, with the dog they have stayed away) last winter the coyotes killed a deer on our property too close to the barn for me. We know it was coyotes because we heard them killing the deer and found it couple of days later. I just keep thinking what would happen if they just happened to get inside the fence. We have one dog(border collie not guardian material) but he wants to make everybody do what he wants, and I am not big on having another dog around even though the scent of them discourages coyotes. We have electric fence inside and outside of all of our fences to keep everyone in and bad things out. But there is always a possibility of that going down. Any input is greatly appreciated, and experiences too. Thanks everyone :)
