About the Author

People have been making soap for as long as we have existed. Whether it was plants with natural saponins or from running water through wood ashes to create a light lye solution which was added to fats and cooked to produce the first bars of soap. Soap in our ancestors day was harsh and had little in it that was healthy for the skin. Today, soap has changed drastically. Gone are the soap pots and glycerin-less soaps of yesteryear. Now we use Cold Processing for our soaps. That is what you will be learning in class today.
